KNOWING CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR

What? Where? How? Why? Who?

These are some common questions we ask ourselves while trying to navigate our lives through both good and troubled times. WHAT am I doing? WHAT is happening to me? WHAT is going on in the world today? WHERE am I going? WHERE do I fit in? WHERE do I find help? HOW long will this last? HOW can this be happening? HOW do I know which way to go? WHY me? WHY them? Why now? WHY not me? WHY are things like this? WHO can I turn to? WHO can I depend on? WHO is really my friend? WHO really love me? WHO is God?

The Peace of Knowing Christ is the Answer

BELIVE

ROMANS 10:9-13

because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his] salvation. 11For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him [whoever adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] will not be disappointed [in his expectations].” 12For there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile; for the same Lord is Lord over all [of us], and [He is] abounding in riches (blessings) for all who call on Him [in faith and prayer]. 13For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord [in prayer] will be saved.”What does

Romans 10 9-10 mean?

The Promise of Salvation

When we confess Jesus as Lord and believe in His resurrection, we are promised salvation. This divine gift frees us from the bondage of sin and grants us eternal life, establishing a new relationship with God that is marked by grace, forgiveness, and transformation.

CONFESS

PRAY THIS PRAYER OUT LOUD:

Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.

PSALMS 51

1God, be merciful to me

because of your faithful love.

Because of your great compassion, erase all the wrongs I have done. 2 Scrub away my guilt. Wash me clean from my sin. 3 I know I have done wrong. I remember that sin all the time. 4 I did what you said is wrong. You are the one I have sinned against.

I say this so that people will know that I am wrong and you are right. What you decided is fair.5 I was born to do wrong,

a sinner before I left my mother’s womb. 6 You want me to be completely loyal,

so put true wisdom deep inside of me.7 Remove my sin and make me pure. Wash me until I am whiter than snow!

8 Let me hear sounds of joy and happiness again. Let the bones you crushed be happy again. 9 Don’t look at my sins.

Erase them all. 10 God, create a pure heart in me, and make my spirit strong again.

11 Don’t push me away

or take your Holy Spirit from me.12 Your help made me so happy. Give me that joy again.

Make my spirit strong and ready to obey you. 13 I will teach the guilty how you want them to live, and the sinners will come back to you.

14 God, spare me from the punishment of death. My God, you are the one who saves me! Let me sing about all the good things you do for me!

15 My Lord, I will open my mouth and sing your praises!

16You don’t really want sacrifices, or I would give them to you. 17 The sacrifice that God wants is a humble spirit. God, you will not turn away someone who comes with a humble heart and is willing to obey you.
