Pastor Willie and Prophetess Dorris Miles have been married for over 40 yrs. They are parents of three sons. After serving 14 yrs under Apostles Harry and Deborah Stackhouse, they were sent out to plant the Sign of The Dove Church in Jackson, TN. Since living in Jackson he has joined the Jackson Ministerial Association, works with the Youth Town Of TN. He is also a Marketplace Chaplin and is involved in many other community outreaches.
Pastor Willie has a passion to see the body of Christ unified. Pastor will is an anointed teacher of the word and has a genuine love for God and the body of Christ. He preaches with simplicity, boldness, and compassion wanting others to know the love of Christ.
CLEAR VISION
WHY DO WE NEED CLEAR VISION?
Lack of Vision will stunt or kill your ministry. Here are six reason we need clear vision to accomplish what God has mandated us to do.
1.To Prevent Overextention : A lot of Christians and Ministries like to take on as much as they can. Trying to help as many people as we can during our time in the Earth. While it is true that we are God's hands here on earth, you should not become too diverse in your offerings of service. The focus should be on quality, not quantity. Overextension lead to loss of enthusiasm, shoddy performance, and overall failure. A clear vision will keep you focused on what works,
2. To Prevent Stagnation : A strong vision helps you construct a solid plan; with an outline of steps that are expertly planned and effective. When you have a clear vison of what God wants for your ministry you can better define what steps you need to take to reach that goal. You won't get stuck repeating the same steps over and over and never getting to the place God desires you to be.
3.To Prevent Disconnection: A Clear vision prevents the body (church members and leaders) from becoming disconnected. Everyone working, but not together toward a common goal. When this happens, it’s easy to become confused and distracted. However when everyone has the same focus and clear vision , everyone remains well connected. Working in the same direction and purpose of the ministry.
4. No Growth : If you don’t have a solid, long-term vision, you will lose out on a potential growth. You need to know what is is God wants you to do with your life and ministry, why you are excited about the direction it’s headed, and how to practically reach those goals, if you want to attract new converts. If you are not in line ,focused and understand the vision; potential members and converts won’t see anything appealing about living for Christ and growing with in your ministry.
Prevents Wasting Time: Imagine this, You are in a 26 passenger bus, BUT every seat has a steering wheel. You know the bus is headed to church but each driver is looking out of their window and driving. Where do you suppose the bus will end up? Now lets visit that same scenario but now each passenger is focused ahead and looking thru the front windshield. What do you think the chances are now that they will all be driving in the same direction? Having a "Clear Vision" with in the ministry is quite the same. It will take many people to get the task done to get where the ministry is headed and as long as they all keep the same focus, drive and determination. Great things can be accomplished
